Assistant Manager - Full-time

An assistant managerial position has become available for a qualified make-up artist with managerial retail experience and preferably some knowledge of s/fx for our professional make-up shop. We are looking for a candidate who wants a challenge and is confident enough to fill this role!

We require an experienced and enthusiastic Assistant Manager with strong organisational and leadership skills to be able to motivate a small friendly team and keep everything running smoothly in this varied job role.

Key Duties

  • Responsible for daily general running of shop floor
  • Overseeing the mail order side of the business
  • Basic IT skills to operate the EPOS system, website & Microsoft office
  • General back office & admin tasks
  • Impeccable customer service when dealing with customers directly, over the phone or via email
  • Stock Control
  • Performing opening up and closing procedures
  • Product training
  • Assisting & reporting to management
  • Assist with running special events and promotions

You will be interacting with a cross section of customers from professional makeup artists in TV, Film & Fashion to the public and will need to be someone with a passion for sharing your knowledge.

Key Skills

  • Cosmetic Retail experience essential
  • Retail Managerial experience required
  • Multi tasker who is highly organised with great attention to detail
  • A friendly and approachable manner
  • Excellent communication skills - fluent in English both oral & written
  • A calm and patient personality that can work well under pressure and when problem solving with customers
  • Knowledge of TV/ Film/S/FX makeup are an advantage.

Full-time Position - 5 days per week on a Monday-Sunday rota
