Medik8 H.E.O. Mask is a 2 part system providing a face mask designed to intensly hydrate the skin overnight for a plumped, smooth, supple and nourished complexion in the morning.
As the name suggests (H.E.O.) the pack contains H=humectants, E=emollients and O=occlusives, all of which are scientifically combined in an optimised ratio to provide deep moisturisation properties and replenish dehydrated, dry skins.
Humectants attract moisture into the skin for a plump and smooth complexion. H.E.O. contains hyaluronic acid and glycerine among other ingredients, these help to create a reservoir of water in the upper layers of the skin ensuring it remans hydrated.
Emollients like ceramides, squalene and linoleic acid help to fill gaps to prevent moisture from escaping and also nourish the skin.
Occlusive Dimethicone is comprised of larger molecules than the other key ingredients, this allows it to form an invisible and breathable barrier over the skins surface effectively locking in the effects of the emollients and humectants and helping to prevent transepidermal water loss.
