An advantage of a dual action style gun is the ability to create a steady airflow before allowing the product through the nozzle, thus eliminating an initial splatter.
As a general rule of thumb, with a good quality airbrush (such as Temptu) any product that is fluid enough to paint should be fine to airbrush, as long as it is a liquid consistency, it can be thinned down to dilute and make it even more fluid if required. Ensure that you use the correct, corresponding liquid to thin it down, for example, use distilled water with water based formulas and IPA (isopropyl alcohol) with alcohol based formulas.
