As the letters H.E.O. suggest, it contains H=humectants, E=emollients and O=occlusives, all of which are scientifically combined in an optimised ratio to provide deep moisturisation properties and replenish dehydrated, dry skins.
- Humectants attract moisture into the skin for a plump and smooth complexion. Hyaluronic acid helps to create a reservoir of water in the upper layers of the skin ensuring it remains hydrated.
- Emollients like ceramides and squalene help to fill gaps to prevent moisture from escaping and also nourish the skin.
- Occlusive Dimethicone is comprised of larger molecules than the other key ingredients, this allows it to form an invisible and breathable barrier over the skins surface effectively locking in the effects of the emollients and humectants and helping to prevent transepidermal water loss.
