PPI Skin Illustrator's On Set Palettes are a fantastic range of alcohol activated solid colour pigment systems in a choice of SFX or Skin tones.

Designed with the professional Make Up Artist in mind, the compact size makes them the ideal palette for kits, to get you started and for carrying on set.

This sweat and water proof formula can be painted on skin, hair and prosthetics to create a whole manner of ultra realistic special effects or to cover tattoos and imperfections.

It is activated using IPA (99.9% Isopropyl Alcohol) and can be applied directly from the palette using a fine effects brush .

ON SET ARTFUL SPLODGER: Contains 2 shades: Freckles and Age Spot. Ideal for adding more customised details to a character like freckles, liver spots or hyperpigmentation. Buildable for soft and subtle to more distinct pigmentation. Also doubles up as natural shading tones. Age Spot can also be used for darker freckling in combination with Freckles when working on deeper skins or for lighter skins requiring more prominent freckling.

ON SET SUNBURN: A minature collection of colours to create the various stages of realistic sunburn. Works on a wide range of skin tones. Shades include Peach Intense: the lightest, softer tone perfect for fair skins. Fave Sunburn: a mid range sunburn tone leaning more to a peach. Magenta Sunburn is the hottest of the shades to obtain the brightest irritation effect. Cherry Bomb leans toward a magenta tone (compared to Fave Sunburn). Fizzle Pop is a softened tone to give a less fresh sun distress look and Dark Sunburn is the darkest of the collection to create an aged more lived-in sun distress look.

Important Considerations:

The Skin Illustrator colour system’s high pigment concentration and absence of unnecessary fillers mean that cracks, bubbles or shrinkage in dried colour cells may occur but this does not compromise the product’s quality or effectiveness in any way and is normal.

Because the formula is highly concentrated and has to be decanted into the cells using alcohol and then evaporated, this causes some shrinkage and means that the cell can never be full/filled to the top/edges. There is no way to set/solidify them in perfect unison so that they can be transported in solid palettes. Once the IPA/alcohol is in contact with the pigment it reactivates it and they work perfectly well without affecting the quality or performance.
