Rolls of impregnated bandage

Ready to use rolls of impregnated bandage activated by water. Used extensively in lifecasting to mould & support the alginate.

Instructions on modelling with fabric reinforced plaster:

Top tip: Mod Roc is hygroscopic (soaks up moisture) so once you have estimated the amount of material required (2-3 layers in thickness), put away any remaining Mod Roc so it doesn't come into contact with the water.

Immerse 2-3 layers of Mod Roc in a bowl of water for 5 seconds or until the bubbles cease.

Gently squeeze out excess water (don't wring) & lay it on to your newspaper former gently moulding it into shape.

If you are working on a large area requiring several immersions you'll need to work fast because the surface of the initial piece you apply will be unworkable after just 4 minutes.

After 30 minutes colour finishing in flat oil or Humbrol paint can be done. Allow longer/24 hours if using water or poster paints.

If faster dry time is required a hair dryer can be used.
