The Complexion palette was created for adjusting a wide range of tones in the complexion and includes a good variety of reds and adjusters for fine tuning the skins complex colourings and adding in delicate effects such as thread veins.
The Complexion Palette was the fifth addition to the Skin Illustrator line, designed to provide a wider scale of red tones and adjusting colors to enable more fine tuning of an appliance makeup or to help blend the appliance seamlessly into the natural skin tones.
The blue based reds can be used alone, mixed together, combined with with all other Skin Illustrator colours or even with other brands colours and palettes.
They can also be adjusted into warmer tones by adding the Light Sienna and Warm Ochre adjusters.
Pastel Yellow is a highlighter as well as a lightening tone.
RedRum is a blood like tone with less orange than the FX Palette‘s Blood Tone colour, this creates a realistic blood like flush in the complexion (and body) that can then be coloured to adapt to a variety of skins.
Cool Tone (fomerly Olive Adjuster) and the brighter DT Blush nicely complete the collection of colours that will make matching blush tones a breeze.
The Complexion Palette is an excellent way to fine tune your makeups, an essential piece of kit containing colours that cover beauty, character and special effects.
Important Considerations:
The Skin Illustrator colour system’s high pigment concentration and lack of unnecessary fillers can cause cracks, bubbles, or shrinkage in the dried colour cells; however, this is normal and does not affect the product’s quality or performance. Due to the concentrated formula being decanted with alcohol and then evaporated, some shrinkage occurs, preventing the cells from being filled completely to the edges. It is impossible to solidify all cells uniformly for transport in palettes. When reactivated with IPA or alcohol, the pigment performs flawlessly without compromising effectiveness.
