When applying it to a completely non-porous surface (like a plastic bald cap or a sleek silicone piece), you must use a stipple/press technique with a dry sponge. If you swipe or wipe it on a completely non-absorbent surface, the gel won't have the grip it needs and may slip or streak. Pressing it down locks it perfectly in place.
